Made up from the following:
Drax – 2x 645MW* Units
Ratcliffe – 4x 500MW Units
West Burton – 2x 500MW* Units
*Drax units limited to 570MW each. West Burton limited to 400MW total Station Output at any one time (with the other unit acting as standby)
2 life extensions
Both Drax & West Burton have secured life extensions for their Coal fired units owing to the current energy crisis. These were due to close in 2022. The current projected closure for these units is now March 2023.
Ratcliffe is projected to close all units by 2024.
